KITS GAP YEAR

I owe this site to my colleague and good friend Sean but above all to Gillian, my amazing Soigneur, who’ve together allowed me to escape on these Walter Mitty -like adventures. What started out 2 years ago as an almost life-long dream to transect Africa was a truly grand escape, although unfortunately cut short about half-way due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But the dream is still there, and hopefully I’ll have the chance to complete in the next year or so. In the meantime, consulting work and life goes on, and we take joy in family and friends.

 

I’ll try again for some extended trips this year, starting in April, and we’ll just have to see how the aged body withstands the grind. So ... I may have left it too late in the game for another expedition trip, but we’ll see if I can survive.
